Second visit to The Lowry

System Hygienics has carried out its second project at the prestigious Lowry art gallery and entertainment centre situated in the Salford Quays waterfront development in Manchester.

Originally contracted to carry out a pre-commission clean when the building was first built, System Hygienics were engaged by the facilities management company Inviron, to carry out the first clean of the kitchen extract systems which serve the three restaurants at this famous complex.

Ensuring the right environmental conditions were maintained from day one was very much in mind of building services contractor Haden Young when they called in System Hygienics to pre-commission clean the ventilation system ductwork in the Lowry - The Lowry Trust's spetacular new arts venue on the waterfront at Salford.

One of 12 landmark projects created to mark Britain's Millennium celebrations, the £106 million Lowry is a unique centre for creativity bringing together a wide variety of performing and visual arts under one roof.

It has two theatres and two art galleries, one housing the world's largest collection of L. S. Lowry's work, as well as an interactive creative experience.

Air hygiene specialists System Hygienics used their Jetvent system to clean the ductwork. Jetvent employs compressed air dislodging technology and can clean up to 100 metres of ductwork from a single access point, thereby ensuring that disruption is kept to a minimum.
